Bacon Bacon SF

I am still amazed that this food truck exists. Bacon, Bacon, and more BACON!!! For the website and more information follow this link: BACONBACONSF Otherwise please stay here and follow me on my blogging journey. I heard that it was making an appearance at Off The Grid UN Plaza and I practically ran over to try some. What else would I get? The bacon bouquet... 5 pieces of bacon wrapped up and so delicious. Take a gander for yourself.... I like to think of myself as a bacon connoisseur. That being said, this was by far #1. Perfectly crisp and chewy. Packed with flavor. I couldn't be more happy to eat just bacon for lunch. Honestly, I couldn't get enough of it.

The following day I was discussing the truck with a friend who had also dined there. We came up with a few facts of why it is just so amazing and how bacon bacon sf has changed us, America, and the world.

We were both on a roll.. It goes on but I'll spare you my real explanation for Beatlemania and the British Invasion. I'm so glad people understand me... It makes this all worth it that others share the joy in the simple things in life. Bacon.

Sh*tty Day. Literally.

No no no, nothing came out of MY behind. But something came out of a canine's behind and landed on the bottom of my shoe. Yum.

Training at the San Jose branch of my company, and meeting everyone there for the first time. I wondered why the office smelled so weird... Then around noon I hear "Molly did you step in poo poo?" Check my foot... Yeaahhhh that's the unpleasant odor I thought was coming from everybody else except me. I then am free to be embarrassed out of my mind and cleaning up dog poop EVERYWHERE. We had a LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem" dance off first thing once we clocked in. Since I was proudly showing off my shuffle, I didn't realize what I was smearing all over the carpet.

I'm so good at first impressions. For your viewing pleasure... My favorite dancing music video of all time. Fast forward to 3:38. Fav!!

I feel the earth move

Under my feet. I feel the sky tumbling down, tumbling down.
-Carole King

Two 4.0 earthquakes in the Easy Bay today. First I was with a client and I just felt a jolt then slight rolling. Jumped up in panic mode. Second was when I had just got out of the shower and the ground just started shaking... Subsequently so did I.

Not a fan of natural disasters, although I have had my emergency survival kit prepared for over 6 months now. I suggest everyone put one together (just in case) spare clothes, food, flashlights, matches, and a gallon of water. You never know how long it will take FEMA in a time of need!! I also have extra batteries, markers, snack packs, cigarettes (for trade) and condoms... Just in case!! I don't think I want to have the pressure of repopulating the world after a zombie apocalypse.

Better safe than sorry and I'm sleeping with my emergency survival kit tonight. Just got to stake out my go to spot in my new house when something happens! Wish me luck

OH and once I find my camera cord there will be pictures from Chicago!!!

Im leaving on a jet plane

Don't know when I'll be back again....

Just kidding. Ill be back on Tuesday, but for now I'm Chicago bound!!

Currently I am on a lovely Virgin America plane flying over the wonderful state of Wyoming. I've never been there, but I'm sure it's lovely. I'm very much enjoying my flight so far and the only complaint I have is my legs are getting sore. The great part of this flight besides in flight entertainment and touchscreen (beat that Jet Blue) is my FREE Samsung Chrome laptop along with FREE wifi!! So this thing stays charged for 8.5 hours, and I get to surf the web and update my blog. HOLLER!!

I'm currently quadruple tasking. Pinterest. Facebook. Watching Modern Family on Hulu and of course blogging. Ill catch you on the flipside.

HELLO CHI TOWN!

This or That?!

I was browsing the clearance cookbook section of Barnes and Noble and found two gems.

I know it's backwards because of dumb photo booth, but I found the "Bacon Cookbook" and "Secrets of a Skinny Chef" I am so stoked to jump into both of these. I have to counteract the massive amount of fat going into my arteries somehow!

Poppin Skittles in my mouth.. Like a G6

Time for a quick story. It's late (a little after 10pm) and I just finished watching Glee. All this excitement is cray cray. I also decided I want to be Zooey Deschanel in New Girl... Oh wait, I already sing to myself, dance around, and generally am a little odd. Hmm I guess her and I have more in common than I thought. Oh and I also wear glasses occasionally. WOOT
Anywho, I gave a few drug tests at work today. The first one I ever gave was pretty significant because the guy tested positive for cocaine. He is a good looking, tall, tan late-ish 20's guy and was asking me all these questions on what they test for, how long it takes, etc. I thought he was just curious... NOPE. Never assume, the unexpected are always the troublemakers! Well the 2nd drug test I ever gave was today and insignificant (as far as I know, results don't come back for a week) the third unsuspecting client walked in and I was asked to drug test him while we were observing him charging his bracelet. His circuit broke at home and he couldn't charge his GPS device. Well our procedure has us breathalyze clients first... Well I didn't really think anything of it until he blew a 0.239!! Lovely. Here is a chart of what happens around this level.

0.20 BAC: Felling dazed, confused or otherwise disoriented. May need help to stand or walk. If you injure yourself you may not feel the pain. Some people experience nausea and vomiting at this level. The gag reflex is impaired and you can choke if you do vomit. Blackouts are likely at this level so you may not remember what has happened.

0.25 BAC: All mental, physical and sensory functions are severely impaired. Increased risk of asphyxiation from choking on vomit and of seriously injuring yourself by falls or other accidents.

I just walked right out of the room and got my coworker. Never have I ever had a client intoxicated come into the office knowing he was supposed to come in. Oye. We waited 20 minutes (because he refused to take the drug test and had a cab waiting outside) at least he's responsible!! Well yada yada yada and he then blew a 0.210 and took the drug test. End of crazy story.

Now while wearing one of our alcohol detection bracelets at an office happy hour for "training" purposes I checked the next day and my BAC found it's peak at 0.042 less than HALF the legal driving limit and I was feeling groovy. I can't imagine what a mess I would be at 0.200, dunzo Molly. I'd rather not like to think of the hangover to ensue the next day.... or death.

Drink responsibly people and no drunk driving!!

Love Stories

I love love stories. This is an absolutely beautiful one that I came across by visiting a favorite blog of mine, http://smartprettyandawkward.com/ . It is a story of Danny and Annie, told to Story Corps. Have the tissues ready. And wow is a story like this make you speechless.

You is kind. You is smart. You is important.

Now, I am not eloquent with words, nor can I usually say how I feel. But after ending my day in somewhat of a funk I knew I didn't want to just be home on a Friday night on the couch. Too much of that! I didn't want to spend money and go shopping (which possibly would leave me more in a funk) so why not try a good time waster. The movie theater. I did face my fears and saw a movie by myself a few weeks ago, first time ever. And while yes it's awkward at the beginning, I actually enjoyed myself. Plus who would go see Glee in 3D with me?!

To save myself from a humiliating story of how I went and saw a movie by myself on a Friday night. This 21 year old invited my roommate and "foster mom" to come along. She gladly obliged and I had a partner... OK to the movie part. I'm not good with adjectives but this movie was touching. Movies like this make me wonder, how could we have ever done that to another race of people because of the color of their skin? I left heartbroken and inspired that the world has come so far, yet we still have so much more to go.

I don't want to get up on my soapbox but this movie reminded me that not to treat anyone as less than human. We are all people and I am constantly appalled by those who choose to put down others. I highly recommend this movie. Don't walk.. Run. Just don't forget your box of tissues, you'll soon find out I'm a crybaby but usually for good reason.

Pigging Out @ Cinco De Mayo

It's time for my first Pigging Out @ adventure!! Cinco De Mayo in Concord and Walnut Creek. Guess who ate the same meal 3 times this week. Dinner, Lunch and Dinner. Yummooo.

I miss the crispy chicken tacos from my taqueria back home in so cal so I thought I'd give them a chance here. Boy was I glad. The chicken was juicy and delish. The beans were pure perfection and the rice equally amazing. I highly recommend Cinco's quick service, which keeps it easy to get back to work on my 30 min lunch. Yeah that's right.... only 30 min!! Overall I'm going to keep coming back when needing some good East Bay Mexican food.

As Lady Gaga says...

I'm on the edge of glory. Why not blog about it?!

Hello! I'm Molly, just graduated and now a working girl out in the real world. Joining a sorority in college taught me a lot, but most importantly, always have an arsenal of stories ready to be told. I work in the criminal justice system, on the edge of the Tenderloin, in wonderful San Francisco. Obviously I encounter crazies on a daily basis, and it's about time to share my stories with the world wide web. Are you excited to start this adventure together??

I plan on keeping things salty and sweet. (Hence the bacon) It's not just my love of bacon that fuels this blog, although it is obviously a favorite. In college I became... known for bacon. By receiving daily phone calls, picture messages, facebook posts, conversations and texts. Anything and everything bacon related could also be found in the same sentence as "Molly." I felt honored that many people told me, "Molly, I had a bacon for breakfast and thought of you." or "Bacon is on sale at safeway, make sure you pick some up." Bacon became my thing. It is still my thing, but I am more than happy to share it with you.

I plan on reviewing the wonderful food I pig out on (bacon and not). Talking about the craziness of San Francisco and working in the changing criminal justice system. This is really just a place for my random ramblings, so I hope you can hang on. It's going to be a crazy ride. As Steven Wright said, "I intend to live forever. So far so good."
